Financial Records for a Reimbursement Request
A complete resident accounting ledger helps us understand the financial activity associated with your reimbursement request.
What should my ledger show?
A complete, official accounting (tenant/rental) ledger must be system-generated from a recognized property management, accounting, or bookkeeping platform, showing a complete, itemized, dated history of all charges, payments, credits, and balances for the relevant period.
Manually created documents (e.g., Word files or spreadsheets) are not accepted unless they are system-generated exports containing complete transactional detail. Informal summaries lacking sufficient detail to verify the account's accuracy and completeness will not be accepted.
Make sure the ledger is current, complete and easy to read.
When requesting reimbursement for damages, the applicable damage charge should also appear as a dated line item on the resident ledger.
